An AI Sales Manager on a B2B Website: What It Answers and When a Person Takes Over

The short answer

An AI sales manager is an assistant on the company's own site that answers an inquiry in about a minute, day and night, in the buyer's language, using only the company's catalogue and terms. It asks the questions the manager would ask, and hands the manager a buyer who is ready to talk, together with the whole conversation.

A buyer who writes to three suppliers often goes with the one who answered first. The assistant answers while the buyer is still on your site.

What happens to an inquiry at 10 pm

Without an assistant, the message waits for the morning.

With one, the buyer gets a reply while still on the page. The assistant answers what can be answered from the company's material: what is available, the price range, delivery terms, minimum order. Then it asks what the manager will need: volume, deadline, budget, where to deliver. By the time the office opens, the manager has a short summary and the full conversation.

What it needs from the company

  • The catalogue or service list, with prices or price ranges where the company publishes them.
  • Terms: delivery, payment, minimum order, lead times.
  • The questions buyers ask most often and the answers the team already gives.
  • Who receives a handed-over buyer, and how.

The assistant answers only as well as this material allows, so I start setup by collecting and checking it.

Where a person takes over

The assistant hands the conversation to a manager when:

  • the buyer is ready to discuss a specific order;
  • the question needs a decision only the company can make, such as a discount or a non-standard term;
  • the question is not covered by the company's material;
  • the buyer asks for a person.

What it costs and how to start

Setup from $1,000 and support from $200 a month. It is sold on its own or together with AI visibility, which gets the same site read and quoted by ChatGPT and other AI assistants. To start, send your site and one line: how many inquiries you get a month and what one deal is worth. Both services are on the AI Inbound page.

Short answers to common questions

Does it replace the contact form or the sales team?

No. The form and the managers stay; the assistant takes the first questions while the buyer is on the site, collects what the manager needs, and passes the conversation on with everything the buyer said.

Where does it get its answers?

Only from the company's own catalogue, prices and terms, which I load into it at setup. A question outside that material goes to the manager.

What languages does it speak?

It answers in the language the buyer writes in.

How long does setup take and what does it cost?

It goes live in one to two weeks. Setup starts from $1,000, support from $200 a month.
